With technology advancing quickly, many businesses and organisations now use VLEs to create flexible and accessible learning experiences for people of all ages. The primary purpose of a VLE is to make learning easier, no matter where learners are. The main feature of VLEs is the ability to upload and organise learning materials.
Primary education students, Adam Skill, Danny Houton and James Carhart, have created a most excellent video to accompany their paper for the Plymouth e-Learning Conference next month. It gives more than a nod in the direction of the Lee LeFever Plain English videos, but it's still quite original in its own way as you will see.
I received a request recently from a client to produce my Moodle training resources as a set of video files, which does make a lot of sense; I have also been using more video this year on the VLE. If you are finding this emerging trend, then you may like to have a look at a couple of resources for video conversion and storage.

This week finally saw the launch of the third phase of our Moodle vle roll out at the college with the delivery of a new 2 hour cpd staff training session Preparing for e-learning. After the initial production work we exported the material in scorm format and upload onto the vle.

Since we first decided upon Moodle as our vle, training as a means of getting it out there to staff was clearly going to be of some priority. I decided that a new approach would be worth pursuing and so to that end the new training takes the form of video material that everyone can simply access at will and use on demand.
